Stone Beck Farm was founded by Dr. Craig Lesser & his wife, Michelle, in 2019.
Craig obtained a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Colorado State University (CSU) in 2011, followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from CSU in 2015. After earning his DVM, he went on to complete a year-long rotating equine practice internship at Anoka Equine in Elk River, Minn., where he worked alongside highly skilled veterinarians to gain hands-on experience across a variety of specialties, including, but not limited to, equine surgery, lameness, reproduction, dentistry, intensive care, and foal care.
Following his internship, Craig continued to refine his skill set under the close mentorship of Dr. Scott Morrison, at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital, where he now exclusively practices equine podiatry.
Michelle was born and raised in Kentucky and is a proud alumnae of the University of Kentucky. She was introduced to the equine industry during her time working for the American Association of Equine Practitioners and has spent the last several years working closely with Craig to refine her horsemanship and assist in providing the highest level of care to the horses at Stone Beck Farm.
MEET @THEDVMFARRIER
Craig has a strong passion for his profession and is heavily involved with educational and mentorship programs for farriers, veterinarians, students, and horse owners. In an effort to connect with more people interested in equine podiatry, (with owner permission) he occasionally shares short videos about his work on TikTok.
